Our Safe House

Our residential aftercare facility (i.e. safe house), is nestled in a mango grove near the village of Podu.

Phase one construction was completed in May 2018 and included a 3-story dormitory building, a kitchen / admin / classroom building and guard house. The dormitory originally had the capacity to house up to 48 girls in 8 bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms, apartments for 2 live-in House Mothers, a central stairwell, a TV room, sick-bay and laundry room. The kitchen / admin / classroom building consists of a dining hall, food preparation area, administrative offices, conference rooms and a central reception area. There is an outside yard for recreational activities and a small vegetable garden.

Thanks to our friends at Valkyrie Gives, we added 3 additional dorm rooms and 18 additional beds to our dormitory in November 2022.
