Dear New Horizons House Supporters and Donors,
It has been a busy June and early July for New Horizons House. As I write this, an NHH team of board members and supporters are working hard to plan their trip in October to visit the New Horizons House facility and spend time with the girls and staff.
Construction work is being completed on the NHH Transition Home with the hope that the facility will be finished by the time that the board team arrives in October and a dedication ceremony can take place.
Perhaps best of all, the NHH Interview Committee has finished a lengthy process in hiring Dan Lawrence as the new Executive Director for New Horizons House International. We are thrilled to have Dan as part of our team, and I’ve included a brief biography in order to introduce him to you.
Dan Lawrence serves as Executive Director & Chief Development Officer of New Horizons House International, bringing more than 25 years of leadership experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, and organizational growth. Throughout his career, he has helped mission-driven organizations raise nearly $2 billion in philanthropic support while building brands, strengthening partnerships, and expanding impact. A journalist by training and a storyteller at heart, Dan believes lasting transformation happens when people have hope, opportunity, and someone who believes in their potential. As an adopted child, he finds New Horizons House’s mission deeply personal. He understands firsthand how a caring intervention can change the trajectory of a life.
Today, he is honored to help lead a ministry that walks alongside vulnerable girls and young women, helping them discover lives marked by dignity, purpose, and hope. Dan and his wife, Allie, live in Parker, Colorado, and have two grown children, Rachel and Alexander.
Dan will be reporting to the New Horizons House Board. His hiring as our Executive Director reflects the Board’s commitment to sustainability and ensuring that the important work that NHH does will carry uninterrupted into the future.
Thank you for your continued support of the girls and staff in India.
Respectfully,
Tim Hillmer
New Horizons House Board Member
