January 2025 Issue

January 15th, 2025

Happy New Year! Let me begin by saying we are so grateful for your prayers and support this past year. The girls had a wonderful Christmas and were provided with some special gifts and were able to begin the new year with hope for a better life and a brighter future. We simply could not make a difference in these girls’ lives without your help.

We are launching into the new year with excitement and anticipation as we continue to see lives restored. One of our big projects in 2025 is the construction and grand opening of our new Transitional Home. We have 58 girls at our main campus, and we have 12 girls in our current Transitional Home.

The girls at our main campus are only allowed to stay until they reach age 18. After that, they have the option of rejoining society on their own or continuing their education and care by residing in our Transitional Home for another 3 years. As more girls graduate from the main campus, we will soon run out of space in our current Transitional Home. When our new home is completed this year, we will have ample space to care for the girls as they gain the additional skills, education, and well-being to re-enter society.

We’re also busy stateside as we continue to put in place the structure and personnel to ensure NHH remains a sustainable program. We are looking ahead to the various roles and responsibilities that will be needed to both maintain and expand our impact. We’re also excited to have some new ambassadors on our team. Just like our board, our ambassadors serve in a voluntary capacity to help raise awareness and funds. You can find out more about them on our website, https://newhorizonshouse.org.

Finally, we invite you to mark your calendars now for our annual “Evening Under the Mangos” Spring gala. The event will take place on April 24 at the beautiful Highlands Ranch Mansion in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Our Indian director, Esther Medidi, will be flying over to provide updates, share her vision for the future of NHH, and answer any questions you may have.

Wishing you a safe and blessed new year.
